19 weeks

Here is a 19 week picture...
I'm still feeling great and we're staying very busy! Tomorrow is the big ANATOMY ULTRASOUND, which means we get to find out the gender. Here's hoping that the baby cooperates...we'll see how much I actually sleep tonight :) I don't really have a "gut feeling" as to whether this little baby is a boy or girl, but it's so funny to hear what others "definitely know" :) I'll keep you posted!

Out with the old...

My car was getting older, a new baby is on the way...you all know how it goes. It was time for a new car for me. But, as many of you know, I HATE change, so it was hard for me to replace my car that was with me during most of college, drove me to my first real job, took many roadtrips, drove me and Brett to our honeymoon flight, drove Laura to her wedding...now add in pregnancy hormones! However, I really do LOVE my new car and don't regret our trade one bit! It only took one drive around the parking lot for me to realize that this new car means great new gadgets inside the car :)
Sad the night before trading in my car...
Me signing papers for my first big girl purchase! Don't worry, my Dad was there (Brett was working), 2 steps away :)

17 weeks

Here is a 17 week picture... I am feeling great and am excited to share that I can FEEL BABY MOVING!! I had been feeling "something" for a couple of weeks, and wasn't completely convinced it was baby, but this week, I knew for sure. It is the most incredible feeling and it stops me in my tracks every time! Movements aren't strong enough yet to feel by touching my belly, but I can feel them inside and it is amazing :) We are still anxiously waiting for March 1 when we find out the gender...
Last weekend was another weekend of the boys working on our new back porch. It was finally a warm, gorgeous day and some of Brett's family came down to visit and help :)
Me and Courtney with Molly (she's leaning forward in the picture - she is 14 years old now!)
Kim and Brett's mom Michelle with Gus and Maggie
We finally got Scotty to come home for the weekend. I miss him and love him and appreciate his help!

Hunter

Hunter is the daughter of our close family friends, and she melts my heart. I thought she deserves her own post because she came to visit and I just love her to pieces! She is just over 2 and has language development and intelligence far beyond many 4 years olds (remember, I work with kids and check their development everyday!), which makes her so much fun to hang out with. We all just watch her and laugh at her preciousness!

This is her playing in "Hunter's cabinet" at my mom and dad's - the only area with nothing breakable or dangerous, and she knows it's her place. She runs right to it when she comes over!

This is me (16 weeks along) with Hunter - don't judge my appearance, this was after a LONG day at work and I heard Hunter and family were visiting so I just raced home and over to my parent's to play :)

The most WONDERFUL sound!

Today was my 16 week appointment, and this time, Dr. Pare heard the baby's heartbeat right away with no problems. I had a feeling it would be easier to find, as I can tell that everything has shifted UP :) I hear heartbeats everyday with my stethoscope, but didn't realize how incredible it would sound coming from our little baby! I am still so amazed by every bit of this pregnancy! We go back on March 1 for the ANATOMY ULTRASOUND (when we will find out the gender)! I'm afraid the next 3 weeks will drag by...

Lately

I've been a bit behind on updating the blog because not much has been going on with us except house projects! Brett had a week off work, and he, Dad, and a friend redid and repainted the outside of the house.  Almost finished except for the shutters, so I'll have pictures soon. This weekend, their big project was redoing the back porch overhang, which was in terrible condition before. Mom and I stayed busy with some painting and projects inside. I thank God everyday for my parents :) Here are some pictures of lately...

Heading out to dinner

I finally caved and bought this thing...I've only worn it with a pair of jeans that don't have much stretch, but it seems great for any "fat days," pregnant or not!!

15 weeks

This picture is from last week when I was 15 weeks along...I'm finally gaining a little weight and I feel great!! I really love being pregnant, and smile to myself each time it gets a little more uncomfortable to button my pants :)
Next appointment is Feb. 8 for a 16 week checkup and to hear the heartbeat (hopefully baby cooperates this time)! Our 20 week visit will be when we find out whether we're having a boy or girl, but I'm getting VERY anxious because at this point in baby's development, if we could see the baby, we'd know the gender!! So, if Dr. Pare has any reason to check on baby on ultrasound on Tuesday...  ;)
